Mpox Update: 111 New Cases Confirmed as Total Hits 2,865

The Government of Sierra Leone has reported 111 new confirmed cases of Mpox in its latest health update, bringing the cumulative total to 2,865 cases since the outbreak began. The report, released on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 also noted no new recovery, signaling the severity of Mpox in the country. The report further confirmed a total of 14 deaths, and 1,904 active cases since the phase of the outbreak disease. While the update did not specify district-level breakdowns for the new cases, previous reports highlighted the Western Rural and Western Urban areas as the most affected areas. The report further confirmed recorded cases in all the districts across Sierra Leone
